So if you haven't been checking the site regularly, it would appear there
haven't been any news posts since the middle of last year. NOT SO! It seems
all the updates between then and now have been swallowed by the cyber gods
for brinner. Trust that there have been some fantastic times in the past six
months, but nothing worth completely rehashing!
Here are the basics: We finished recording the album and are working with
Brett to finish up the mixes. They sound GREAT! Oh, and the band officially bid
adieu to founding guitarist Moe Girard while simultaneously welcoming in new
axeman Sheldon Wallis. And we mean simultaneously: All 3 guitarists were
onstaqe for several songs during the band's set at Moe's Big Sendoff show.
Also new - the band has awesome new hoodies for sale. Seriously, they're
fan-freaking-tastic! Check 'em out at the TAINTED MySpace blog. They'll make
their appearance on the site's merch page as soon as Tim gets around to
changing it to the new look.
Another good use for the band's MySpace blogs: Keeping up with the news in
case this page becomes a cyber god snack. Again.

We spent the last week of May in the Orlando, FL studio of producer and rock
star Brett Hestla to track 6 songs for the new album. We'll return at the end of
July to finish laying tracks and let Brett work his magic. Watch Tim's video blog
of the first trip on YouTube. You can hear rough mixes of 4 of the tracks on our
MySpace profile!
We've also been busy auditioning guitarists in our search for the guy who'll fill
Moe Girard's giant shoes. We have narrowed the field and expect to make an
announcement soon, so keep your ear to the ground. In case you're
wondering, Moe has been present for every second of every audition and has
been invaluable in this emotionally difficult search. He's an amazing human
being.
FInally, there are new shows on the schedule and more to come. Don't forget, if
you want TAINTED to come to your town just start or join a demand by clicking

Wow. It's hard to know where to begin this update.
Back in December we told you we would be going on hiatus from live shows so
we could focus on writing and recording our new album. Since that time,
producer extraordinaire Brett Hestla has agreed to take on the project. We're
all big fans of his work singing for Dark New Day and producing our brothers in
Signum A.D., so this new development has yet to really sink in.
The result is we've officially come off hiatus and have scheduled a number of
shows over the next couple months to help raise the funds. Please think about
hitting up one of the shows, buying some new merchandise from us, or just
donating gobs of money out of the goodness of your heart. Heck, why not all of
the above?!
Another development brought on by the change of plans is the announcement
of Moe Girard's gradual departure from the band and the immediate search for
his replacement. This is a bittersweet moment for the whole band, as all the
guys are close.

HOLY CRAP is there a lot going on this summer! For starters, let's talk about
the just-released video for "21st Century Freedom"! You can see the online
version on YouTube, or by clicking over to the pics page. Wichita area viewers
can catch the video on Heavy Pork, which airs Saturday nights on FOX.
After rocking the Kansas night life for more than 2 years, the boys finally caught
the attention of The Wichita Eagle in July, who did a fantastic writeup on the
band.
The Kansas City Rockers For Life compilation disc is finally a reality - and as
promised, "Distracted" is track numero uno. You'll find the CD up for grabs on
the merch page.
There's been talk of a new album for months now, but you'll be happy to know
the project is finally underway! The guys are in the preproduction phase on
the full-length follow up to "Bridging the Gap". Of course, it's easy to hear the
slew of new cuts from TAINTED - Just go to a show!
And speaking of shows, WOW! Great opportunities to get TAINTED live are
popping up right and left! Already past this summer are great bills including
Dawn Over Zero, Strong Point, and Warrant. But there will be at least 6 more
shows before summer is officially over and it's time to rock out "fall style". The
boys will be all over Kansas over the next few weeks, so find a show near you
and hear all the great new songs!

City Rockers For Life compilation disc. What does this mean? It means
feedback from Tim and Moe's guitars will be the first thing the A&R staff at more

TAINTED has signed on with iLLUMINA Records out of Boston to add a song to
the Kansas City Rockers For Life compilation CD. The project is geared toward
making teens aware of the dangers of drinking and driving. More details to

The guys have added some fun new material to the live repertoire, including a
soul-wrenching new original called "Born of Frustration". Check out the new
tunes at one of the upcoming shows.
Speaking of upcoming shows, a bunch of new dates have been added - so

opportunities to get TAINTED!
And speaking of new songs...Expect rapid progress on originals as the band
prepares to record a new full length album!

The Friends of Terry Bergen benefit concert was an incredible night for all
involved. Together, the Wichita community pulled together more than $4,000 in
donations to help a man who's been in the hospital since trying to save
someone else from a burning home in November.
Huge thanks go out to everyone who participated, from the volunteers to the
bands who donated their talents and time to the area businesses who donated
items for silent auctions and door prizes.

No, your eyes aren't fooling you - TAINTED.US has a new look. TAINTED has
collaborated with graphic designer extraordinaire James Dean (who also
happens to be the incredible front man for Alien8) to create a whole new image
for the band, and Tim has used the elements as the inspiration for the new web
design. The most noticeable components: Two fan-freaking-tastic new logos.
In case you haven't seen it in a while, the MySpace profile is sporting the new
look, as well. Check it out!

The band is stepping out! We're currently booking a mini-tour through Texas,
which will be followed by a couple dates in the seldom-recognized but VERY
rockin' Tulsa, OK. What's this mean? It means our Texas and Oklahoma friends
finally have a chance to come meet us and see TAINTED in action. It also means
that after a handful of upcoming dates, Kansas will be waiting a while until their
next TAINTing.

TAINTED.US: We've unveiled a new look and organization for the website. It
should be easier for our friends to navigate...not to mention easier for us to
maintain!
New songs: If you haven't seen us lately, you're missing out on a couple great
new songs. They're not on Bridging the Gap, so if you wanna hear 'em, you'll
have to come to a show.
Just so you know, there are several other new tunes in the works. We feel they
all showcase the slightly ramped up direction TAINTED has taken since the
initiation of Jonny K. We're looking forward to going into the studio to do a
full-length album much sooner than later.
Family addition: There's a new permament member of the TAINTED family, and
you'll find her wherever you find us! Shawna McDonald is the official TAINTED
Merch Maiden. You'll see her smiling beautiful face pimping and peddling CDs
at shows. Go say hi!

of one very talented individual, Jonny K. Those of you who've seen us recently
can attest to Jon's skills as he has been filling in as guest drummer. I guess we
wore him down and he's decided to take the gig permanently. Be sure to check
out his superior drumming chops at an upcoming TAINTED show near you!! Oh
yeah, and buy the guy a drink!!

Due to personal obligations, Nate Yarnell has decided to pull out of TAINTED, so
we're looking for a drummer YET AGAIN! The present show schedule is STILL
ON, though, thanks to Nate's sense of ethics and just generally being a good
guy - so if you were planning on coming out to a show to get rocked, please do
so and help us rock out his tenure in style!
Studio update: We're very close to being finished with the CD! Everything is
tracked and edited. We begin mixing Easter Sunday, and should have a CD
available sometime in May - so stay tuned!
The 5 song EP will be titled "Bridging the Gap".
